Big Ben is a name of a large bell in the center of the clock tower and located in the north of Westminster Palace, London. The officially name of this building is Elizabeth Tower, because it coincided with the 60th anniversary party Queen Elizabeth II. This tower was finished at 1858 and on 31 May 2009 this tower is exactly 150 years old.
This tower was built as part of a plan to built a new palace by Charles Barry, after the old Westminster Palace was destroyed by fire. The height of this tower is 96.3 meter and was built in Victorian Gothic Style.

it is believed that ' Big Ben ' name was named by Sir Benjamin Hall, but some others prove that ' Big Ben ' name was given by a boxer named Ben Caunt. The clock and the bell was design by Augustus Pugin. This clock is famous because it accuracy.
